Fostering allowance 

Foster carers have a regular income with fostering allowance. Sometimes there is a gap between placements. However, our placement team make successful matching depending on situations and requirements. Foster Carers receive their allowance monthly. The amount of allowance depends on the type of placement they have.

 

Free membership of The Foster Talk

Foster Talk is the UK’s Leading Fostering charity. They are the essential network for fostering and bringing together everyone who is involved in the lives of fostered children. They support foster carers to transform children’s lives and work with fostering services and the wider sector to develop and share best practice. They ensure all fostered children and young people experience stable family life. 

All our Foster Carers receive free membership to Foster Talk. This membership gives you advice, support, discounts on legal expenses, mortgages, holidays and family days out. 

 

The Max Card

All our Foster Carers receive discounted days out and activities across the UK with Max Card membership. As a Caring Hearts carer, you will receive a card assigned to yourself so that you can continuously access deals with different fostering placements. 

Membership gives you discounts on days out, including Haven, Alton Towers and Chessington World of Adventures, Madame Tussauds, Sea Life centres and sanctuaries, and much more.

 

Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) 

EAP is the world’s largest, oldest, and most respected membership organization for employee assistance professionals. Caring Hearts Fostering provides this membership free to their Foster Carers. EAP are intended to help Foster Carers deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and wellbeing. EAP provides health assessment, short-term counselling and referral services for Foster Carers and their immediate family – wherever they are in the world.

 

Foster carer ID card

As the name suggests, CHF Foster carers have access to an ID card to help make things run much smoother. This will provide you with evidence of being a Foster Carer, you may need to show when booking doctor’s appointments or ordering prescriptions. The card is provided to you free by Caring Hearts Fostering. 

 

Referral Program 

There is always a need for foster carers, which of course means that there is a number of children for whom we can’t find a foster family. 

If you’re an approved carer with Caring Hearts Fostering, and you know someone that would like to become a foster carer, you can let us know. For every recommendation we approve, you will receive a reward of up to £750 bonus. You can either speak with your supervising social worker or get in touch and speak with a member of the team.
